The Year Behind
A year ago, David and I were both in a rut, feeling like we were meant for more. Heads down at our jobs, we tried to make the most of every day, but we weren’t satisfied. After walking circles around Bryant Park together for an hour on the evening of April 11th, we realized the striking similarities between the way we each talked about our lives and careers. We wanted to create. We wanted to build. We wanted to put it all on the line and learn the hard way. It was clear we had entrepreneurship in our veins, but it was also clear that the "responsible" path was to stay the course. For months, we wrestled with the idea of starting our own firm, ebbing and flowing between confidence and fear. We ultimately got to the point where doing the easy thing of staying at a safe job lost out to doing the hard thing of starting something new. We launched the firm on July 10th, and five months into the journey, our passion for what we're doing is bursting at the seams. Here's to a year when we chose the hard over the easy, the adventure over the norm.
